Which of the following, if true, provides most support for the view that Mammoth Industries cannot increase its sales of telephones by adopting the plan outlined above?
(A) Although it sells all of the telephones that it produces, Mammoth Industries' share of all telephone sales has declined over the last year.
(B) Mammoth Industries' average inventory of telephones awaiting shipment to retailers has declined slightly over the last year.
(C) Advertising has made the brand name of Mammoth Industries' telephones widely known, but few consumers know that Mammoth Industries owns this brand.

这个题目,选项中应该兼顾expand production & continue advertisement, 但是觉得E只是continue ad. 了(sales下降,price基本不变,所以数量卖出的下降,所以需要ad),并没有说expand productoin的问题。
不过,其余四个选项中,也都没有同时顾到这两个问题。
另外,当时我选的A,因为他是需要expand production的。
请牛牛们指点

不明白楼主为何要“兼顾expand production & continue advertisement”?
其实,GMAT中有很多信息并没有太大用途,或根本就是在误导你。
本题意思很明确:
因为——整个市场的电话销售旺盛
所以——M公司要扩大电话生产规模(并继续作大规模广告)
题目问的是:为何M公司不能扩大生产规模。
E选项说了:即使降低价格,M的电话销售业绩也下滑了。这说明即使市场销售旺盛,M的业绩也不好。因此,扩大生产是没有根据的。
A选项是说M的市场份额下降,并不代表销售下降,不能有力证明M不能扩大生产。

E 项和 文章第一句话Sales of telephones have increased dramatically over the last year. 不冲突么?
E说去年销售量有所下滑,而这句话说 去年的销售量有所上升。(当然,如果我翻译错了的话就不好说了)我不知道应该翻译成这个,还是翻译成,今年的销售量比去年的多了。关键在这个Over the last year上。

题干里说的是整个市场的销售量猛增。而E选项说的是MI的销售量下滑,不冲突。
题目里问的是:哪个选项能说明 即便扩大生产和继续打广告也不能增加销售量
A选项说去年MI市场份额减少,扩大生产和继续打广告有可能增加销售量;而且,市场份额(百分比)和销售量(实际数字)不是一回事
而E选项已经说了,降价了但是销售量还是减少,说明扩大生产和广告没用。
