你所说的E 说的 CORE OR NON CORE TASK,和outsource product无关。

stimulus的逻辑结构是
outsourcing可降低成本，一公司为了降低成本（目的），把一些业务外包出去
先看C，
C是通过消除削弱的可能达到支持的作用，承担外包的公司不会与Vernon竞争，

消除了不利的影响因素
再看E
E只是说outsourcing可以节约时间和让manager做core business，并没有对降

低成本的起到任何影响（如果说让manager做core business可以降低成本，这

就有二次延伸，不如C直接）

坚持是C
E的time和core business不能确定公司的profit就一定增加
但C如果新的竞争者参与会使得profit减少

I think the answer is E
The company's purpose is to boost its profit by decrease its cost
C is irrelevant

We all know that in the business world,there is no forever friend.Even though the outsourcing-company will become a director competitor,temporary coorperation is deserve.)The plan is just focus on company's RECENT situation.
E is correct:It points out that if the company implement the plan,the company can decrease OPPORTUNITY COST.

好吧~~~其实这题好像是一道削弱题的改编~~~
我觉得C和E都有延伸的意思，都没有直接说道cost这个核心
但DENGTS同学指出opportunity cost
作为一个本科学经济的同学，我还是比较认可的~~~
如果stimulus里探讨的不是会计意义上的成本，而是经济成本
那E的确是公司的opportunity cost~~~

总之我觉得题出得不好~~~~

For answer C, it describes what happened to those manufacturers which start as independent suppliers first, NOT the independent supplier itself. And the stimuli has never mentioned that independent supplier that the company is looking for will become a manufacturer in future. This is considered as a shell game answer. It secretly changed the subject of the discussion to a similar but totally different one to confuse you.
As for answer E, it can be logically assumed that when mgmt pays more attention to the core business, the profits generated from it could be increased and therefore it can boost the overall profit as well.

you need an answer choice that shows that OUTSOURCING WILL BE MORE PROFITABLE THAN NOT OUTSOURCING.

the other four answer choices are completely irrelevant to the issue, which is the effect of outsourcing on profit.. choice (e),E is best- It shows a precise advantage of implementing the plan!

therefore, even though (e) requires additional assumptions, it's still the choice that "most strongly supports" the argument - because it's the only choice that even could support the argument.
