这题目的意思是insomnia不仅仅是一种病，而且还是一个什么..而AB的意思说insomnia不是一种病，语意不对干掉。
CDE感觉E的歧义最小，思路最清晰最没有疑惑，不需要让读者反复琢磨指示代词的指代对象，所以选E

我觉得选e,anxiety , or stress 都是名词，所以a reaction是合适的。所以c的when,d的a simple one like(like不合适，太口语话）不合适。

尽量减少疑惑，使句子简洁清晰，红色的地方表示需要思考，或者不简洁，而绿色的地方需要与后面的anxiety about travel, or stress before a job interview.相对应，感觉E的形式优于C/D

我选择C。

1. not so much A but B

2. 我认为，may be 和maybe的混淆也是一个考点。

3. (not) as...as when...不是需要思考或者不简洁的地方，而是as众多用法中的一个。白勇里讲as时候似乎提到过。

以下是个实际例子。
He acknowledged that Mr Blair was no longer as popular as when he became Labour leader 10 years ago.
