Business Leadership Center provided evening seminars from speakers from the DFW area. There are happy hours to network with classmates. Also, there’s a mentoring program (though this process could be structured with better guidelines for the mentor and student, as both parties are left to their own devices after being paired).

Overall, the professors were really excellent! The faculties were great! And the network is great as well in Dallas. The school definitely has resources. That is one thing I will take away: Knowing that I can come to SMU to help me with anything related to my profession in the future.

I wanted the ability to utilize my classroom lessons the very next day on the job. I have been amazed at the amount of knowledge I've gained that has been completely applicable to my daily projects in my current job. I cannot imagine not going through the SMU professional MBA program. It has been a life-changing experience and will continue to benefit me for the rest of my life.

SMU provided a great education and experience. One of the best things about the program is the diversity of the students from their nationalities to their work experience. The diversity was invaluable in helping me learn different ways to think and different perspectives. The support that SMU gave was wonderful—from networking opportunities to providing meals on campus during finals week. The faculty was not only educated, but experienced. Overall, a wonderful experience that I will appreciate the rest of my life.

The program should provide better support of the PMBAs' efforts to find new jobs. Not all of us do, but those of us who want to find new jobs don't get the same kind of support that the full time students do.

SMU Cox School of Business is the best school, best education, best potential to network, best location in the South, and a nationally ranked program.

If someone's willing to pay the extreme amount of tuition, I would recommend it. However, it is cheaper to get the same degree at another institution.

There are mentor programs, tons of guest speakers, outside-class training, and classes through the Business Leadership Center. Students also have the ability to audit classes, study abroad, join various clubs, visit company, and attend happy hours with local business people. The list goes on and on. SMU does a fantastic job at providing opportunities to network.

Instructors were very knowledgeable and cared deeply about their students' careers. There was never any question they were there to help you learn and succeed in your career. Being a part-time student, my job was important to me and the instructors understood this. They were always willing to be flexible to accommodate any unforeseen schedule conflicts while still maintaining the class requirements and guidelines.

SMU is a strong school. It is expensive, but I believe worth the investment. The small classroom setting is a plus, and there is a lot of interaction between classmates and instructors which fostered a nice learning environment. My biggest complaint is the lack of outside or real-world experience from the faculty and staff. They should leverage their proximity to major firms and industries in Dallas to bring in outside leaders for students to learn from. You can't teach everything from a text book.

I have received excellent personal treatment at SMU. The professors are stellar. The course content is rigorous and worth while. I have been able to apply all of the concepts I learned.

Some possible improvements: Make the program more affordable, since part-time MBA students consume fewer campus resources yet are charged a higher fee than full-time students. Place more class material and books in an online format so materials can be easily accessed. Provide a free document center to prepare and print deliverables. Expand the clubs and association hours (and include weekends) so evening part-time students can participate in activities. Offer a greater diversity of summer classes. There should be greater access to career center resources for part-time students. Also, a greater involvement by the local business community would enhance the program.

The support from the MBA office and our advisors and counselors for both small and large issues was not as good as I would have hoped. I had to pull teeth to get complete assistance is some situations.
