Nobody knows exactly how many languages there are in the world, partly because of the difficulty of distinguishing between a language and the sublanguages or dialects within it, but those who have tried to count typically have found about five thousand.

count 后不应该有个them么？

没有人确切的知道全世界有多少种语言，一部分原因是很难区分一种语言以及他所包含的分支，但是（不是反对的意思，只是表示一个转折），试图去数的人普遍找到5000种。

句子到 within it是完整的， but之后的句子是个补充modifier clause. count可以不加them,而且加了them反倒感觉这个指代不清。虽然知道是指代泛指不同语言，可具体的到底是说languages, sublanguages, or including all dialects 呢？本来句子就告诉我们这个数法无法精确定义，后面补充只是指出一个大概的范围在5000左右。那这个them到底说的哪种数法，sublanguages and dialects又都是如何定义和区分的呢。
