有一种说法是
high表示具体概念
highly表示抽象概念
但是到底怎样算具体,怎样算抽象,还是不太理解
希望能有明确而概括的解释,谢谢!

this restaurant is highly recommended on Lonely Planet...这个高你觉得可以衡量吗~

其实是被这道题弄糊涂了,我知道E的时态不好,但如果单就high和highly的用法而言,这道题为什么用high而不用highly呢?

这里用high的话修饰tensions,highly修饰running。。

形容词修饰名词,副词修饰动词和形容词。。所以这里的话说这个tensions用high修饰比较好。。

个人愚见。。我再去搜搜这题的讨论。。

run high:BE STRONG, be fervent, be passionate, be intense.

e.g: feelings were running high
