Hi ! Thank you for shiring lots of information. Since a lot of people know
that it really important to make it the first run if you want to apply columbia.
But the app guide line of Warton says that there is no defference between the
1st and the 2nd run. And what about other Bschool? (ex the LBS, MIT, CHICAGO,
NYU, OXFORD, KELLOGG, MICHIGAN, UCLA, Cornell ) Sorry for the stupid question,
cause I took the gmat today and got only 690 (Q49 V34). I have already booked
another gmat test at Oct 14th and wondering if I should try to apply some b-
school in the 1sr run.作者: wahabirds 时间: 2010-10-26 22:06
Hey there—happy to offer up some thoughts here. Yes, it is ALWAYS better to apply round one. Don’t believe what Wharton tells you. It is ALWAYS better to apply round one—but only a little bit better. The advantage is relatively small. So if you can put together an A+ application for Round 2 instead, then you should. All the schools you’ve listed above are the same—better to submit for Round 1. But if you can improve your application significantly (in your case, breaking 700 on the GMAT) then forget Round 1! The difference between the two rounds is small enough, that it is far more important to submit a better application, than to hit Round 1.
Hope this helps, and feel free to reach out with additional questions!作者: CarolineJMW 时间: 2010-10-28 16:15
