Q37:

In Town X, 64 percent of the population are employed, and 48 percent of the population are employed males.  What percent of the employed people in Town X are females?

A.    16%

B.    25%

C.    32%

D.    40%

E.    52%

为什么不可以选A呢?

不过我怎么也得16？

so 64x=48 x=75 which is male population, so female pop is 25%, employed female would be .48x.25=16

Lets say the town has 100 people.

That means 64 are employed
48 would be employed males
64-48=16 employed females

Now the question asks what percent of the employed people are females?

16/64= 25%
