答案为C

ABE可排除~~D选项，答案解释说因为Alaska后面不能接exhaust，但查了字典以后，当exhaust用作“耗尽，用完”时，是有这样的用法的~~请问nn这里的D选项错在哪里？是因为its的指代问题吗？还有C选项用了被动语态，是不是不好？

动名词多用于正在进行或频繁发生等情况，且这里的动名词逻辑主语不清。过去分词表状态，且被动语态避免了逻辑主语的问题。所以选c。

请问C中的intended是什么成分修饰什么，为什么前面不用加逗号?

intended直接修饰fund，表示fund的作用，根据白勇语法
