Dollar for dollar, the business program is probably one of the best values in the U.S. I have had the opportunity to work side-by-side with MBAs from other regional schools, and I believe I have been equipped to compete on an equal or even superior level. The school is best-known in the Southeast, so relocating to another state will pose the challenge of selling the program a bit, but so far that has not been a problem, and there are plenty of alumni around the country that can be tapped as resources during the job search process. --Marketing

UGA provides a great classroom experience by balancing academic rigor with opportunities to develop management and social skills outside of the classrooom. However, the Career Resource Center is a major barrier to UGA's business program being considered among the very elite in the nation. The inadequate focus the business school puts in career placement causes key recruiting statistics to fall below those found at comparable business schools. --Finance

Overall, the Terry MBA program is outstanding for several reasons. First, the program is extremely intimate with about 100 students total. Second, the value for the money is incredible: I had access to high-caliber employers without taking out a second mortgage for tuition. Plus, Athens is arguably the best college town in the world. --Finance
The program was in too much of a hurry to train future leaders by instilling leadership concepts at the cost of many important courses. --Finance

The Terry College has been an excellent value. The graduate assistantship the school provided for me reduced my tuition to practically zero and also paid me about $500 per month. On top of that, the quality of the teaching was higher than I expected, as was the quality of my classmates. --Consulting

Terry is a small school and is not necesarily appropriate for all students.--Marketing

The professors make the difference. UGA needs to realize that and stop promoting professors based on their research only. There were professors there that I would rate a 10 and professors that I would rate a 1. But unfortunately the latter group of professors seems to be taking over.--Entrepreneurship
