Tulane is a small program, particularly strong in the finance department. I had tremendous access to professors, and various challenging classes. Because of Katrina I spent a semester at UT Austin and learned first hand that our program was equally as challenging. -- Consulting
The academics are great, the program is fantastic. Career services however is worthless. They're "working" on it, they say. --Operations
I am very impressed with the response and rejuvenation of the Freeman School of Business in the post-Hurricane Katrina environment. The program has elevated educational performance and reemerged a stronger program. --Operations作者: s 时间: 2010-9-6 11:52
For school that is located on the Gulf Coast and in the direct line of many powerful storms, I was amazed at how few aspects of the disaster had even been considered by the Tulane administrators. For a school that promised to train young business leaders to "improvise, adapt, and overcome," these people had no ability to practice what they were preaching. Our host schools were incredible! I went to the GSB in Chicago, and I had a chance to see how a great school operates. --Marketing
The school's biggest issue is dealing with getting recruiters to either make it to New Orleans -- or figuring out a way to leverage their proximity to Houston, etc. The Tulane name doesn't quite bring the feeding frenzy that other schools do but there are many quality students who can compete with the best of them. Consulting作者: s 时间: 2010-9-6 11:52
Tulane truly is a "hidden treasure" and a truly unique experience to offer all those lucky enough to find it. --Finance
Freeman was a good experience for me. The students are intelligent and the professors accessible. I like that it's a small program and I know everyone. I wish more classes were offered and that more of the second-year electives were offered during the day.--Nonprofit
The Tulane MBA is a fantastic experience. The school has outstanding faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, great students, and an absolutely wonderful city!--Finance作者: s 时间: 2010-9-6 11:52
New program after hurricane completely misses the school's core strengths in the financial field. The school is trying to give students an international MBA program, but it seems the school is chasing buzz worlds and lacks substance.--Finance
I feel that Tulane's MBA program is amazing and has a lot of opportunities that other programs do not. However, the school is stronger in some areas of concentration than others and I would urge a friend or colleague to enroll in a program that was a good match for their future intentions. Tulane's finance program is unmatched, however, other areas of concentration (marketing, for example) may not be at the same high level.--Marketing
