(E) to suggest that the elephant is descended from

问题：按照语意，evidence后面应该说的是一个事情，得用that来引出吧，而to是标目的啊，这里并没有这个意思。我选的是A,答案是E.

但是我是觉得根据整体来看，他为什么就akward了呢？

evidence 后面通常是接that 引出evidence的内容但这里由于又有了个suggest，为了避免awkward就变通一下而且evidence后面的修饰语（that suggest...）又确实是来说明这个evidence的作用的，用to suggest表目的，同样达到了这个效果
所以既然有E，当然是E，如果没有E，A其他地方也正确，而其他选项都明显错误，那么就选A

突然又想起一个问题，如果去掉suggest，是不是可以把后面当成evidence的内容，就不能是目的了？

挺明显的一个考点可能是and的平行吧， suggest that ...., and that....只有E的and后面有that...加上is decended是正确的用法。。。就把其他4项排除了

A中的evolving是correctivness的错误，明显错啊
一开始evidence that sug that 定语从句套宾语从句很明显啰嗦了
E中that ... that..是正确答案的标志-。- 感觉gmat特喜欢这样的句子，比较严谨可能
