答案为C, 我也选对了。

在这问的问题是用there were about one-third of mothers with young children, 还是there was about one-third of mothers with young children. 应该是was吗？

应该是were，mothers决定了单复数

我觉得选d，原句中的while包含了转折关系啊，从句意中也看得出来，且除了a、b只有d有转折关系。；在e文中不是解释说明得关系吗?用在这里显然不对啊
