  广大托友们一定很清楚IBT口语中难度系数最高的就是属于Integrated speaking的Task6,因为它仅仅提供一段长达2分钟的lecture,然后要求大家用20seconds来prepare,并且必须在1分钟之内陈述出来。那么多说无益,我今天就拿来客户的三篇task6实例和大家一起探讨一下!
  Task6常见问题
  1、虽然已经掌握了Lecture中所透露的基本信息,但是还是会遗漏一些重要信息分支或者是关键词汇。
  2、对一些比较生僻的地理专有名词把握得不是很好,然后一概用一些泛指的词汇来代替。
  3、用词方面存在的问题:首先,在陈述中重复使用一些词汇,严重影响口语表达的丰富性和多样性;然后,对一些行近词并没有精确把握。行近词很容易给人造成混淆,但是它们的真正意思却很不相同,所以如果没有很准确地把握而混用了行近词,可以想象的到出来的表达效果会让人啼笑皆非!

  实例1
  Using points and examples from the talk, describe traditional beliefs about trees, and explain why people have thought of trees as special.
  Sample answer
  ①Some people believe that the first people come from ash trees.②Some people believe trees can help people avoid some special bone disease. ③Some people believe the branch of trees can help them find water on the ground.④ ⑷And people have thought of trees as special because trees is important people.⑤⑸Trees can provide food or use as building materials.
  解析
  ①中表述了其中的基本信息,但是太过于笼统,遗漏了一些细节。  
  Better expression: The Norse people and Algonquin people both honored the ash tree as cosmic tree. According to their traditions, the first human beings come from the ash tree.
  ②对听力材料中所给出信息的理解有所偏差。
  Better expression: The Europeans in North America also hold beliefs about trees. They think that people can avoid getting a disease of the bones by carrying the seeds of buckeye tree in their pockets.
  ③Better expression: They also hold the opinion that the branch of the hazel trees can help water dowsers to find water underground.  
  说明:本段陈述中多次重复使用believe,这对体现语言的多样性表达不是很好!而且遗漏了water dowser探井人这个关键信息词,此外我们知道寻找水源都是在地下进行,故不能使用on the ground而应该是underground。本段的人称使用的是they,因为它和②中的主语是一致的,都是The Europeans in North America对trees的different beliefs.
  ④Better expression: Trees are important for people.
  说明:类似这样的基本语法错误实在是不应该犯的!
  ⑤Better expression: trees can provide many life’s necessities for people, such as, food, oils, building materials, medicines, spices and dyes.
  总体评析:这位托友已经把握lecture中的基本信息,语言基本流畅,但是表达不够完整、精确、缺少细节,而且其对地理名词的掌握得并不好,都一概用some people来代替,这是很不可取的,针对这个问题就需要大家在平常的学习中有系统地积累一些专有名词。

  实例2
  Using points and details from the talk, describe the physical differences that animals had to adapt to when they moved from water to land.
  Sample answer
  There are three main different between landing environment and water environment. The first one is oxygen content. There are more oxygen on land so land animal evoke lung to help them to breathe air. The second different is air destiny. Animals must evolve stronger body to support themselves. The third different is temperature. Temperature changes easily on land than in water. So land animals must maintain their body temperature.
  解析
  1、陈述中凡是使用different的地方都应该改为difference,因为这个topic主要是围绕陆地生存环境和海洋生存环境的区别而展开的,它需要的是n形式的difference而非adj形式的different。
  2、W: There are more oxygen on land so land animal evoke lung to help them to breathe air.
  R: There is more oxygen on land .Land animals can get oxygen much more easily that water animals can. Once land animals evolved the appropriate organs, such as lung.
  说明:两组形近词的比较:evoke, evolve; oxygen, organ
  Evoke表示引起、引发。Evoke/ stir/ awake sympathy引发同情心。
  Evolve means develop from a simple form to a more complex one gradually (of animals or plants),即表示进化。
  Oxygen n 氧气,organ n器官,这两个词的发音也很相近,所以大家在做笔记时或者陈述时都要小心了,因为它们的含义真的是大相径庭!
  3、W: The second different is air destiny. Animals must evolve stronger body to support themselves.
  R: The second difference is the destiny of water and air. Animals must develop stronger body to support themselves.
  说明:我们可以看得出这位托友遗漏了第二种区别的主旨句的信息分支,这样就会被适当扣分,此外,其使用了develop避免了上面的evolve的重复,丰富了语言表达。
  总体评析:这位托友对这套题的把握不错!因为排除了上述习题和他所学专业相去甚远的因素不说,他还是很好地掌握了lecture所给出的关键信息,当然和上一道题一样,本题的表述还是存在着一定的信息遗漏问题。这就要求托友在练习中做笔记方面要继续努力喽!

  实例3
  Explain how the emotional intelligence affects people’s behaviors
  Sample answer
  Emotional intelligence consists of self-control, self-decision and social ability. People with emotional intelligence understand their feelings. The young people with emotional intelligence are generally sensitive. Emotional intelligence causes young people to experience emotional highs and lows and feel everything strongly.
  解析
  (1) W: The young people with emotional intelligence are generally sensitive. Emotional intelligence causes young people to experience emotional highs and lows and feel everything strongly.
  R: The young people with emotional intelligence are generally sensitive and moody/ temperamental and feel everything strongly.
  (2)对lecture材料的分析
  从上面的表述中我们不难看出这位托友在做笔记方面还有待提高,而且很明显地缺乏针对性练习,致使其在表述中断断续续,出现较多的提顿,使表达听起来不太流畅!但是我们今天主要分析一下lecture材料,我认为这个材料通常分为三段式:结合本题来说,首先它大体介绍一下实验----对12-17 years old的young people with high intelligence and social ability 进行调查,问了两个问题:Do you ever think about your own thinking? Who am I? What is the answer? 然后,材料中会给出一个具体的事例------16岁女孩的回答:Other people all think that her life is easy because she is intelligent. But in her opinion, she is very understood, sensitive and emotional person. She gets angered easily. She has a lot of problems of her own just because of her intelligence.最后,就会针对这个事例进行一些理论方面的分析,大家要提高警觉了,因为你要重点记录这部分内容,它们将会是你的陈述部分的理论依据:What the girl said shows the person with high emotional intelligence understand their feelings. However, when young people think deeply about everything and feel everything strongly, they also experience problems. They feel impressed and guilty for being different for everyone else.
