虽然看了置顶帖的谣言解答,但是本着实事求是的原则,还是给GMAC发了一封邮件咨询,回复的全文如下:The CAT will only determine your score by the correct or incorrect answer you’ve selected. It does not grade or affect your score in anyway by the time you take to answer the question. The GMAT® Total score is not the sum of the GMAT Quantitative and Verbal scaled scores. Rather, the GMAT Total is a rounded scale score derived from the sum of intermediate Quantitative and Verbal scores. Similarly, the reported Quantitative and Verbal scores are rounded scale scores derived from intermediate scores. Scale scores have the same meaning over time and permit schools to compute averages and other statistics. Because the scale scores are rounded to the nearest whole number, each scale score corresponds to a range of intermediate scores.
