A set of 15 different integers has a median of 25 and a range of 25. What is the greatest possible integer that could be in this set?

(A) 32
(B) 37
(C) 40
(D) 43

Range定义=最大值-最小值

题目问说哪个最有可能是最大值,所以从最大的先推推看
E)Max:50,range25代表Min=50-25=25 ==>可是25又是中位数,所以不可能!!
D)Max:43,range25代表Min=43-25=18
列举验证一下: 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 ........43
总共15个,所以中位数左边应该有7个
刚好25也是中位数,所以成立!!

25-7=18 18+25=43

这15个数是 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25（median) x x x x x x x range= max - min = max-18=25 so max=18+25=43

因为range25,各选项间距為
=>(7~32)(12~37)(15~40)(18~43)(25~50)
由于15个不同的数字,此外,中位数为25=>只有D选项符合
