B coming from conversions rather than increases in the population

Rather than 优于instead of , 排除C D
E 中，Rather than前面是conversion,后面是increasing the population, 无法并列，排除。
关键在A 和B无法区分, A 中，conversion 与population并列，increasing 是作为population的定语。 B 中，conversion 和increases 并列。

这个题目其实你已经分析的很好了。。。

不过分析的顺序有点问题，首先rather than的确在用词的倾向性上比 instead of 要好，但是instead of在语法上并没有错误，所以不能首先排除CD 只能说 ABE可能会比CD好些，这个好些也仅仅能在没有别的语法差别的情况下这么说。

这个题目首先可以排除的肯定是DE两个选项，
原文中 fully 2/3 of the growth coming from这个结构并不是一个句子而是一个独立主格状语
但是在DE中 fully ... is from 直接就是一个句子那么和主句放在一起的时候就变成了两个句子并列，且不说逻辑意思的不匹配，光绝对语法上就少了连词。所以排除DE

ABC选项中涉及到一个比较的问题
对于比较我们一直都说过必须要明确到底是什么和什么比
原句的意思是 2/3的增长都来自于转化而不是人口的增加，所以实际上是转化和增长在比
这就需要你把句子读清楚了基督教会众的增加是来源于转化（就是把不信的弄成信的）而不是来自于本身人口的增加，所以其实它想说的是现在会众占总人口的比例增加了，而不是绝对数量增加了
从这里我们可以看到 conversion 应该和 increase并列，而不是和population并列
这样看 A可以排除
剩下BC选项的选择就很简单了，不能使 the population's increasing首先这里应该用increase，因为我们不强调过程强调结果，另外 the population's increase也不是很好的表达，虽然我们经常用中文说人口的增长，但是在标准英文中应该用 increase in population，最后就是我们说的instead和rather than的关系

几方面都说明B更好所以选择B
