22. Following several years of declining advertising sales, the Greenville Times reorganized its advertising sales force. Before reorganization, the sales force was organized geographically, with some sales representatives concentrating on citycenter businesses and others concentrating on different outlying regions. The reorganization attempted to increase the sales representatives’ knowledge of clients’ businesses by having each sales representative deal with only one type of industry or of retailing. After the reorganization, revenue from advertising sales increased.

请教各位大牛们这题为什么会是B,看了答案觉得有些道理,但是又觉得这似乎不能从题中直接推导出来,逻辑的答案不是应该和原文有相关性吗?

原文中叙述了两个独立的事实:

1、广告部门进行了调整
2、广告盈利增加

要确定这两件事情是否有因果关系,最起码需要判断有没有其他因素在引起广告盈利的增加。
正如B所说的,如果在过去两年间销量有很大增加,那么广告盈利的增加就可能不是由于广告部门引起的,而单纯的是由于销量增加引起的了
