这题说D错的都是说并列问题，可是我觉得并列反而不对，因为doubling和bringing的动作发出者是不同的，前者是土地，后者是购地的这个行为，所以应该用逗号隔开，bringing作为前面整个分局的伴随状语所以坚持选D。

不知道NN们有什么想法？？请赐教！

我认为土地无法发出double这个动作，double和bring的发出者都是购地行为。

土地是可以double的

這点我可以确定

就好像the population of japan doubles that of canada一样

不一定只有具有主观能动性的东西才能double其他的东西

反而如果行为是主语，我认为不好解释意思了

啊这题的意思是不是购了土地之后疆土扩大了，而不是那片土地是疆土的2倍？我好像明白了 !

这个题目的D选项是不能选的
最直接的问题就是LZ自己说的并列的问题
在这里 doubling和bringing两个伴随状语很明显都是获得土地这个动词的伴随过程状语它们的主语都是句子的主句美国
换句话说这句话描述了这样的一个意思：

美国获得了828000平方麦的土地，把它的领土面积加倍了，把它的边界弄到了太平洋。

在这种情况下 doubling 和 bringing 之前缺少连词就不合适了

Double这个词实际上用法是非常灵活的
它可以是一个vi也可以是vt
作为vt的时候，就可以是什么东西把什么东西加倍了比方说： I doubled the money I earned.
