Q6:

A certain company assigns employees to offices in such a way that some of the offices can be empty and more than one employee can be assigned to an office. In how many ways can the company assign 3 employees to 2 different offices?

A. 5

B. 6

C. 7

D. 8

E. 9

I only got 7, how do you got 8?

先三个人中找一个出来,让他去2个房间中的一个,因为一旦一个人定了且房间定了,那么另外的人和房间也都定了,再加上3个人在一起的情况,2种,所以一个8种.

can I use 2*2*2=8? since each person can have 2 choice, stay in room A or stay in room B,
