我研究了N久，终于搞清楚such that 做强调和做举例在倒装情况下怎么区分怎么应用了，下面是我的一点笔记，可能罗嗦，请耐心看，希望对大家有帮助。

Such has the growth been in these tours that Húsavík town is now well known as The Whale Watching Capital of Europe.

此句不同于本题。上句中只有growth一个主语，没有形容词比如fast，做表语。还原后成：The growth has been such that，而不是the growth has been so fast that.原句还原后，such做代词，指代that从句的一个situation，说明growth的程度。

比较这两个出自朗文的例子：

His courage was such that

His courage was so great that

如果把这两个句子倒装：

Such was his courage that (类似上面的例子原句)

So great was his courage that (类似本题原句)

 

如果象D选项一样改成such，变成：such greatness was his courage that

还原： His courage was such greatness that…

这是举例形式，而非强调形式，courage就变成greatness的一种，that的从句就成了courage与greatness之间的关系，即courage怎么属于greatness了。

至少应该是：The greatness of his courage was such that, 这才是强调形式

倒装后成：Such the greatness of his courage was that

注意such后面的名词在做举例和做强调的情况下的变化

 

说回到原题：A选项肯定是没有问题。但是D选项的倒装呢？

就象上面的例句 Such the greatness of his courage was that,

把D还原：The abundance of…. has been such that, 主要结构没有问题，问题在于abundance的修饰成分。

原句应该是The abundance of the capital for commercial real estate has been such that,

倒装应该是Such the abundance of the capital for commercial real estate has been that

有点头重脚轻，可以调整为： Such the abundance of the capital has been for commercial real estate that

但是如果倒装成 Such the abundance has been the capital for commercial real estate that 就成了举例形式

仔细体会黑体部分的区别。

 

 

关于such做代词 （朗文）：that thing, fact, or action:

e.g. We had predicted a Welsh victory, and such indeed was the result. (such代 a Welsh victory)

 

再多个朗文的倒装例子：

原句：The force of the explosion was such that it blew out all the windows.

倒装：Such the force of the explosion was that it blew out all the windows.

            Such strength of the force of the explosion was that

           (The strength of the force of the explosion was such that)

            Such strength was the force of the explosion that 就是错的，是举例而非强调，表明force是strength的一种

            So strong was the force of the explosion that it blew out all the windows.

           (The force of the explosion was so strong that it blew out all the windows.)

 

顺便，这个句子也是对的：The explosion blew out all the windows, such was its force.

个人觉得这也是个倒装， Its force was such (that) the explosion blew out all the windows.
