文章不是说因为雇主们不愿意付那么多钱来雇佣extra help,所以teenage unemployment rate居高不下吗? 工资不变,雇主就不会雇佣extra help,同时进入teenage 年龄段的人越来越多,所以teenage unemployment rate会继续上升,这样并不能说明最低工资水平和失业率没关系啊? 所以B的情况并不排斥工资下降,失业率下降的情况
我是这样想的：
结论是条件性结论A (Congress institutes a subminimum wage)＝＝》B
(unemployment rate will no longer increase)
要想削弱的话可以证明A不一定推出B，即即便institutes a subminimum wage，不一
定unemployment rate will no longer increase。就是说证明unemployment rate
and the minimum wage无关，或者有其他因素导致unemployment rate。
你CONFUSE的地方可能是你将原文的前提理解成：如果 minimum wage remained
constant那么 unemployment rate will rise ，但是事实是如果unemployment rate
and the minimum wage相关，那么minimum wage remained constant则unemployment
rate也constant.B恰恰从这个角度证明二者不相关。
P.S：关于“同时进入teenage 年龄段的人越来越多”，可是退出TEENAGE的人也以同
样的速度在退出嘛。所以RATE是不变的
