Q16:

If J, S, and V are points on the number line, what is the distance between S and V?

(1)   The distance between J and S is 20.

(2)   The distance between J and V is 25.

A. Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient.

B. Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.

C. BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient.

D. EACH statement ALONE is sufficient.

It seems that the precise position of each point wouldn’t be located-For instance, V could be either right or left to J-even if both conditions were used. So E.
