老板病了，无法提交推荐信，可是今天是MIT的DEADLINE，如果明天交，还有希望吗？

Schools are generally more lenient with respect to recommendation letters. Call MIT up immediately to inform them of the situation, and give them an estimated time when you can submit it. They will advice you on what their policy is.
