If x and y are positive, is x³ > y?

(1) > y (x开根号)

(2) x > y

A. Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient.

B. Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.

C. BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient.

D. EACH statement ALONE is sufficient.

E. Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient.

答案是E，但是如果(1) 和(2) 合在一起不就排除了X，Y大于0，小于1的情况了嘛，这样的话X的三次方就肯定大于Y了

难道我又漏了什么可能嘛？

x是0.01,y是0.005,0.01>0.005, 0.1>0.005,但是0.00001<0.005,所以E

在坐标轴上画出y=x,y=√x,y=x^3,就能很直观地看出来
