A certain city with a population of 132,000 is to be divided into 11 voting districts, and no district is to have a popu;lation that is more that 10% greater than the population of any other discrict. What is the minimum possible population on that the least populated district could have?
A.10100;
B.10800;
C.10900;
D.11000;
E.11100
Answer: D
这道题怎么解得呵？肯定很巧妙~~~
还有一个，xy=1，the value of [2(x+y)^]/[2(x-y)^]=? ( ^ 代表平方)
A.2 B.4. C.8 D. 16 E.32
Anwer: D
这个我把 y=1/x 代进去，然后x取不同值可以得不同结果...好奇怪...
怎么觉得GMAT prep里面数学比OG难呢？

第一题:
首先,先确定11 voting districts的平均population 是12000
则人口最多的区的人口必须要超过12000
则人口最少的区的人口必须要超过12000/1.1=10909
则答案中的minimum只有D,11000.

令max=(1+10%)min,因为 max>12000, -> 1.1min>12000, min>10909...-> D

我看一下！应该不会抄错吧，我应该已经用怀疑的目光省视过N遍了：
又看了一遍，原题是这样子的：
If xy=1, what is the value of [2(x+y)^]/[2(x+y)^]？

其使我怀疑这题出错了，首先那个2就没用，直接约分。
