为什么选E？ A错在哪里？

应该是和for 18 consecutive years 逻辑上不匹配，former是前任的意思，要么说作为前任主席，要么说做了18年的主席，而不能说做了18年的前任主席

恩，想了很久，觉得former在这里确实不好。有歧义

可以理解为：1，当前主席当了18年......

2, 一个曾经工作过18年的前主席。
