most mba programs will ask you your current salary in the application.
they are not really interested in how much you are earning ('cause it
depends on your industry and country), they are more interested in how
much progress you made in the past several years (i.e., the difference
between your starting salary and ending salary).
however, the salary does affect your application more or less: the more
you earn, the more accomplished you are, and the more likely you will be
admitted. but don't make up the number, because your background will be
screened after admission.
