(A) that they believe is (B) that they believe it to be (C) they believe that it is of (D) they believe that is (E) they believe to be of 又把这题翻出来了。^_^

比较让我疑惑的是，为什么不用the one,,而用one....为什么省掉了that..OG的解释我一点也不明白。

one本身就是特指，所以不用再加定冠词the，类似请参阅OG134C的解释；

one是代词，that在句中也起类似代词的作用，所以that可以省略而不影响句子结构。

In OG,. Finally, A, B, and D lack of and so illogically equate this particular explosion with the whole class of explosions to which it belongs: it is not a type but possibly one of a type.

One of a type, it sounds ok to me but don't know the official rule about one of a type, one of a kind, or ... we can't say one of a chair, right?

For this particular question, can we say "..... explosion, one type previously unknown to science?"
