标题: 公司的名气对申top20的重要性? [打印本页]

想要申请top20的MBA, 是不是fortune 500 or big 4的会有很大优势呢?偶现在在一家算有名气的美资公司(但不是500强以内)工作, 是否相对进top20的机会要少一些?因为听说top20的不少学校还是挺看重原来公司名气的, (如果真是这样偶要考虑转工了)

i dont think so, most important is your essay response and your GMAT score. but worked for a blue-chip company will sure contribute a bit to your success.

For Harvard/Wharton/Stanford, yes, your company's brand name is very important. For lower ranked schools, big name will definitely help, but not that crucial.

yes, sometimes a blue-chip name is helpful for admission into top schools, but sometimes in consideration of diversity of student body, it becomes a disadvantage because too many candidates come from big name companies in the same industry.

有一定道理。但是不知道将来毕业找工作时，以前的工作经验会不会被考虑？

of course, working for a big name employer is an advantage in MBA application.

but it's surly not a detemining factor. we who engage in small business may demonstrate other advantages through good essays.
