island in northern Lake Superior ，最后一句话排除了毒素从Lake Superior 进入

island lake 的可能性，可以算是个assumption吧。

似乎是这么个关系:
有个湖叫Lake Superior , 湖里有个岛, 这个岛上有个内湖,也就是所谓的the island

lake,并且该内湖的海拔比Lake Superior要高.

一开始我错把elevate理解成evaporate, 觉得无法理解.
