I remember that OG once pointed out the differece between layout and laying out", but I cannot understand the explanation.

佩服tongxun 读的那末仔细. 能否总结一下从句,主句时态的用法.
例: 条件句 从句:现在时 主句: 将来时 =>将来用法

我认为may have suggested原来的may suggest是表示可能存在的一种现象,用完成式是不恰当的。最起码,与后来的it has缠绕不清。若前面用may suggest,后面用has come读起来时间间隔非常清晰。

翻译成中文,还是觉着 may have suggested 没错。 能否解释详细一下 “时间间隔”

两个都用完成式,在时间上有交叉。(我的感觉)。主要因为,前面用的是suggest,是一种不确定的情况,用have suggest的表达不好。

从前后词性对应的角度看(后面都是名词),应该选B,
且我认为may have suggested更好,可以清楚地反映出过去与现在的对比

Choice B contains two errors:

explanations:
1. the term “graphic design”may ... and ( " it has come to sighify....., " expresses an ongoing action, using present perfect tense is inappropriately.
2. please compare the difference between the term "...." may suggest laying out and the term.... may suggest ... layout
