What is the possibility of event A or event B or both?
A) The possibility of event A is 0.6
B) The possibility of event B is 0.4

R:it equals to the probability of A union B, which is the probability
of A plus probability of B minus probability of both A and B, i.e.
p(A)+p(B)-p(A and B). We donot the joint probability of A and B.

我觉得不是E，应该是C。
两个条件合在一起得出的式子是A*非A+B*非B+A*B
把A=0.6和B=0.4代入得出的答案与上面的解释中p(A)+p(B)-p(A and B)的只是一样的，可以验证。
请板主看看对不对。

E。只知道A、B各自的，但不知道共有的。比如交集可以0、0.2、0.3。

题目没有给出A和B是否独立事件

A的概率和B的概率都是个常数，AB肯定是独立事件，所以AB同时发生的概率就是各自概率的乘积。所以是C.

只有当N个事件相互独立时，即任何一个事件的发生与否都不影响其他事件发生时，N个事件同时发生的概率才等于每个事件发生的概率的乘积。
