正选是C。我选的是E。请问C E有什么不同，ETS一般不是鄙视抽象名词吗，谢谢解答

base..on后面加名词或名词性质的动名词
要一定用comparing的话，也是base on the comparing...（the comparing才是名词性质，而单单一个comparing是动词性质），但是因为已经现成有comparison这个词，所以就不用the comparing了

base on sth.这个sth很少是动名词，因为不简略。另，comparing bond yields with the dividends available on common stocks 这个动名词句，无法接在base on 的后面。

是，running在这里是动名词，也就是当作一个名词来使用

base sth on sth .一般不加v-ing的形式，美国人就喜欢这么用．
