我想问为什么B不正确.

OG的解释: the use of "more" instead of greater inappropriately implies there are now more numbers, rather than more gyrfalcons.

请问这个解释怎么理解?

通常 more than 用得比较多，但是需要注意的是，这里number本身就是数字的意思，翻译成“数字是XX时候的5倍”

more和greater有区别：more强调数字上的变化，greater强调数量的变化。这个就是

OG解释所表达的意思。

可能是我比较苯,还是有些不太明白,为什么greater比more好呢?望更多NN赐教~

greater是指数量大，比如说100是20的5倍；但是its numbers are now five times

more than 。。。的意思是说原来这种鸟的数量可能是20，但现在关于这种鸟的数量的说

法可能除了20以外，还可能是40，60，80，100，120。数据的个数成了原来的5倍。不知

道这样解释是否能帮助你？
