答案是C，但是为什么B不对呢？看了解释仍然不明白，忘哪位大虾解释一下，谢谢谢谢

increase twice = double = two times

以上等式各项均可用做动词谓语.

B翻译过来是，从1978到1985年，the number of undergraduate degrees增加了超过两次，而不是两倍！

这里increased more than twice应该指增加了不止两倍，强调增加量而C中指明人数不止翻了一翻，更加符合原句的意思所以选C好
