有关知识管理的背景知识,我这里给你简单介绍一下:

知识管理是在知识经济时代下,知识作为一个最重要的生产要素的背景下才被完全提出来。它是伴随着网络技术的发展而不断更新,网络技术为有效进行知识管理提供了必要的技术支撑。目前,有许多产品提供了知识管理系统平台,比如LotusMicrosoftPortal等。有了这些平台,我们可以实现7种要素技术:门户技术、搜索索引技术、协作技术、E-learning技术、商业智能技术、内容管理技术以及集成技术。

其实有关于这个,你考虑一下我们工作中感受到的文档管理、工作流管理、搜索引擎和交流平台等,就能发现知识管理的影子了。

具体来说,一种有效的知识管理存在着几个基本要求:

1、 不同来源知识收集的能力;

2、 知识分类、组织以及知识挖掘的能力;

3、 大规模知识分享的能力;

4、 知识创新的能力;

IIM 615. Knowledge Management Foundations

DESCRIPTION:

Surveys socio-economic developments that have led to a “New Paradigm” economy

in which knowledge is a critical factor of production. Reviews economic

and philosophical approaches to the question, “What is knowledge” and relates

this to current business practice... Discusses knowledge assets and their value

to organizations in terms of products, processes, market and services. Provides

an awareness of current theories and practices of Knowledge Management in

both profit and not for profit organizations.

SELECTED TOPICS:

> Economic evolution, resource/knowledge-based theory

of the firm, knowledge economy.

> Roots of KM: development of management and

organization theory relative to the development of

business practices and organizations.

> Philosophical and sociological review of the phenomenon

of knowledge.

> Tacit vs. explicit knowledge, intangible assets, knowing.

> KM models, frameworks, metaphors and tropes.

IIM 616. Knowledge Management and Organization

DESCRIPTION:

Addresses the role of organizational learning as a social phenomenon, and a driver

of change management, knowledge creation and innovation. Discusses the

capitalization of knowledge in today’s economy and the way companies leverage

intangible assets to create sustainable competitive advantage. Reviews the

social psychology of organizing, building from a cognitive / information processing

perspective on organizations, and applies this to new forms of organization

and work in evidence today. Addresses the concept of organizational culture in a

knowledge- based environment.

> Organizational change, learning, knowledge creation and

innovation.

> Knowledge, work, organization and sustainable competitive

advantage.

> New forms of organizations and the role of KM.

> Knowledge culture: trust, psycho-sociological dynamics,

team work.

> Knowledge transfer and knowledge stickiness.

> KM and multicultural environments.

IIM 617. Knowledge Management and Human/Social Technologies

DESCRIPTION:

Knowledge Management deals extensively with the human/social issues of learning,

sharing, integrating knowledge and innovation but most KM projects are

built around information technologies, which are treated in a companion course

(IIM 618). This course focuses on the psycho-social / sociotechnical technologies

– often registered as Soft Systems Methodology, Organization Development or

Organization Change – which deal with human factors and the social psychology

of organizing. Explores approaches to managing tacit and explicit knowledge and

investigates soft system technologies that support KM. Reviews best practice and

experiences, and addresses the design and execution of KM projects.

SELECTED TOPICS:

> Knowledge strategy and knowledge mapping.

> Communities of practices (CoPs), storytelling and narrative.

> Creativity, dialog, information sharing, forums.

> Motivation, distributed cooperation and virtual collaboration.

> Customer Relationship Management.

> Implementation in specific industrial sectors (supply

chain management, consulting firms, NPO).

> Case studies, practitioner presentations; key success

factors, barriers to implementation.

IIM 618. Knowledge Management and Information/Communication Technologies

DESCRIPTION:

The majority of KM projects are developed around ICT (information / communication

technology) of some kind. Surveys Knowledge Management Systems

(KMS) emphasizing a non-technical approach to application design and functionality.

Reviews dependence on and integration of business processes in a KMS.

Addresses the issue of technologies that fail to account for system-wide (human,

social) change. Prerequisites: IIM 534 (MIS), IIM 536 (Ops Management) and IIIM

617 (KM Human / Soc Tech). Provides an analysis of commercially available programs

and application packages.

SELECTED TOPICS:

> Knowledge generation, codification, coordination.

> Knowledgebases, databases, data mining and data

warehousing.

> Group-based applications: groupware, intranets -

extranets, corporate portals.

> Knowledge modeling, ontologies, relationship modeling,

dynamic modeling.

> Expert systems, intelligent agent systems.

> Information filtering and search techniques.

> Building KM applications and implementation.

> Commercial applications…
