(A) where the household incomes of 49 percent of them are
(B) where they have 49 percent of the household incomes
(C) where 49 percent of the household incomes are
(D) which has 49 percent of the household incomes(C)
(E) in which 49 percent of them have household incomes
D is incorrect.
It is incorrect to have such sentence as:
The community has 49 percent of the household incomes below the poverty level.
Thanks for your response. Though I am still not convinced of D's
incorrectness, I am not going to argue anymore. It's only a test that we can't
argue.
Another question that comes to me is about the correctness of C. I think the
meaning of C is not logically right. Wow, just for discussion. I thin k it
should go like this " where 49 percent of the households had incomes" or
"where there were 49 percent of the households with incomes". The reason why I
am saying so is that the 49% should refer to the households in the community,
but not to the household incomes. What do you think?
agree !!!!!
