Now that we have received your application, it is currently being processed and presented to the Admissions Committee for review. After reviewing your application, the Admissions Committee will provide you with an initial notification. If your application is complete by the deadline, you will receive an initial notification on or before the notification date (see below).

Our admissions process is holistic and personal, and we take great care in evaluating each application in its entirety. NYU Stern uses a rolling admissions process. We evaluate applications and provide notifications on an ongoing basis.
Initial Notification
Initial notification possibilities are as follows:
Interview invitation – You will be notified via email that your status has been updated on the Application Status Check Website, and you will receive an invitation to interview via email. You will then need to respond online to schedule an interview.
Offer of a place on the waitlist – You will be notified via email that your status has been updated on the Application Status Check Website. You will then need to view your decision online.

To protect your privacy, we do not release the status of your application or decisions via email, telephone, fax or mail.
Interview Invitation
If you are invited to interview, you will receive an email invitation with scheduling information. Please remember that interviews are offered by invitation only.
The admissions interview plays an important role in ensuring the excellence of the NYU Stern community. Therefore, an offer of admission is never made before the applicant has been invited to interview.
After the interview, please allow up to three weeks to receive an admissions decision. You will receive an email indicating that your status has changed, and then you will be able to review your decision online.
