We should also plan to continue adding new departments and services, such as a restaurant and a garden shop, in subsequent years. 我的答案：2^18。（差点选了2^64）

a=16，b=2^16，2^x=(16)^(2^16)=(2^4)^(2^16)=2^(4*(2^16))=2^(2^18)，x=2^18。

50个人，每人选一门，18人选a，15人选b，10人选engineering，7人选d。
问选engineering的percentage？

我的答案：10/50=20%。这道题很简单在蛮后面为什么呢。。。弄不懂

9-x^2>0，x^2-2x-8>0，x must be 在哪个范围内？

我的答案：(-3,-2)

第一个求出(-3,3)，第二个求出x<-2 or x>4。两个并一并。

一个数列，a_n=a_n-2+11，问633是否在数列内？

（1）a₁=39

（2）a₂=43

有个人drive from home to library速度是40miles/hour，drive from library to home速度是45miles/hour，求home到library的distance？

（1）来回一共用了34minutes

（2）from home to library比from library to home多用5minutes（这个数字瞎编的但有具体数字）

（2） S/40=S/45+5求出S

一个人把$1,000存1年，annual rate是r%，compounded semiannually，求一年后的利息是多少？

我的答案：0.025r^2+10r

1000(1+0.5r%)^2-1000=10r+0.025r^2

以下哪个方程在xy-coordinate中的图中只有一个点both coordinates是整数？

选项有：y=7/15x（记不清），y=x+1/2，y=x乘以根号3

我的答案：y=x乘以根号3

游泳池，this side increase 2 feet while other side increase 8 feet，the distance between the two sides is 24 feet，how deep is 4 feet away from the deepest side？

这道题没看懂，乱画了个图用什么相似三角形做的，（24-4）/24=x/（8-2）算出来x=5也不知道对不对。

我的答案：10（差点选了12）这道题在很后面好像最后1，2道的样子。

有9个月，每个月都有8人born。另2个月，每个月都有9人born。那么October就可以有10人born。9*8+2*9+10=100

10^50-74，求sum of all its digits?

我的答案：440。貌似是我做到的唯一一道上月机经中的题。

999。。。9926：48*9+2+6=440

a，b，c，d all positive，ac/bd < c/b？

（1）b>c（好像是这样，总之一个貌似求不出来的条件）

（2）a>d

我的答案：B。（差点漏看了a，b，c，d all positive）

ac/bd-c/b=c(a-d)/bd 因为c，b，d都positive，那么知道a>d就可以了。

再补两道数学：

有个方形（如图，图传上来了么。。）面积MFQ=MNF+FPQ吗？

（1）MQ=2MN

（2）MNPQ是平行四边形

（1）s=6（总之是个具体数字）

In 1960’s studies of rats, scientists found that crowding increases the number of attacks among the animals significantly. But in recent experiments in which rhesus monkeys were placed in crowded conditions, although there was an increase in instances of “coping” behavior-such as submissive gestures and avoidance of dominant individuals-attacks did not become any more frequent. Therefore it is not likely that, for any species of monkey, crowding increases aggression as significantly as was seen in rats.

第二段：继续说black 受待遇更好了。列举了一点。其中有一句说到Black contribute to NAAPC （一个组织）membership 。

第三段：However，在战争还没结束前还是有conflicts and tensions，protest of civil right还是有，就像end of 1960s一样。比如racial segragation，等。

第一段：很多人都只考虑purchase不考虑consumption。但postpurchase（即consumption）也很重要。

第二段：有很多conditions会左右consumption，比如time, complicity, ease of preparation。。。（列举了有考点!）
但有些小的大的无区别，举例泡咖啡都要spoon, cup, water。。。（这里考了个类比题）

第一段：以前是stable price。However，现在有两种1skimming 2忘了。。

第二段：现在的trend主张用某种（我的理解指skimming）。但它对high的比low的更好。然后只要low的能在一开始就occur，low还是能一直延续下去的。

第一段：有种技术可以capture CO2然后储存起来。这种方法虽好但找不到地方储存CO2。科学家们考虑了A和B两个地方，但它们都太小了。于是科学家们又开始考虑deep ocean。

第二段：deep ocean也有问题，因为历史上发生了件事在某地的CO2离火山近，最终使火山爆发了。（暗示deep ocean也有可能有此类问题，考点！）很多公司还是会出于economic incentives（考点！）的原因选择不用这种技术，因为把CO2排到空气中没人知道。
