My friend is going to apply 2008’s MBA. She targets on top 10

programs. We have different opinions about to what degree she can

polish her resume. I am wondering if anyone knows these programs’

background check procedures after you got admitted. I don’t want her

to risk her application by some resume polish. We really appreciate any

information from you!

Don't worry about that.

Almost everyone who apply MBA will have somebody else to polish their materials.

只要不做大弊，就可以了。

as long as that polish doesn't distort the real responsibilities she handles...

You can always pick a "positive" and "grand" verb /adjective to

describe the behavior or job scope, in which way you don't really

cheat, but just interprete into a "bigger" scope...

my personal opinion...

proper polishment will not damage your application.

moreover, MBA application is a complicated self-marketing process. the competition is highly fierce!
