这个题目的正确答案实际上是D 其实大家只要读一读句子的意思就能够把答案给读出来

原文两个分句有两个意思，一个是 系统的对森林的砍伐造了农场而且给农场主提供了便宜的房子和家具，而另一个是 系统的对森林的砍伐也造成了erosion和去森林化

很明显可以看出，这两层意思之间的关系是转折的 而不是递进的，所以不能用not only but also连接，而应该直接用一个转折 but

这样看来，只有D能够表达这个意思啊：）

还是那句话，大家不要把GMAT题目看作是一个简单的规则应用

而要真正的去理解它考的精髓
