简单述说这两个问题

1 从纯语法上讲B选项是错的，但是不是指代问题

 

gotomba的说法有点问题，这里的which应该指代 the cost of higher education，原因很简单，如果是 the A of B, which的结构，这个which会优先指前面那个有the的，定冠词是有这个作用的，另一个原因是higher education是一个不怎么需要说明的东西，就好像我们上课所说的over the world的the world不需要修饰一样

 

那么B为什么错了 核心问题在于语序

 

year toward the cost of higher education, for which was previously paid $7 per year

which指代前面的 the cost of higher education

我们把这个which用the cost 换掉，如果定语从句正确，那么这句话就应该是一个完整的句子了

 

for the cost of higher education was previously paid $7 per year.

这句话里面for the cost of higher education是做了pay ... for ..这个词组的一部分，而整个句子是一个被动语态，所以正常的陈述语序是：

 

$7 per year was previously paid for the cost of higher education

 

我们说过，定语从句是要使用陈述语序的 而不是倒装语序

所以B选项正确的语序表达应该是：
