Late yesterday, Garth Saloner, dean of Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, announced on his Twitter feed that former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will be joining the GSB faculty in September as a co-director of the B-school’s Center for Global Business and the Economy. Rice’s appointment was confirmed this afternoon by a Stanford spokeswoman. According to the Stanford GSB website, the Global Center “aims to be the leader in developing and disseminating curriculum materials, research, and conceptual frameworks on global issues.”
Previously, Rice served as the provost of Stanford University from 1993-1999.
