我认为B更好,C的avoid一般跟人搭配,比如sb.do sth.to avoid.../to avoid..,one must do sth.,而keep it from 可以跟物搭配,it指前面的chalice,所以比C更precise,更能表达原意!

是否可以这样理解：把被动改成主动试试看，sb buried it to keep it from doing......
这样是合理的。但如果是sb buried it to keep from doing就不对了。
