OG-78 A group of children of various ages was read stories in which people caused harm, some of those people doing so intentionally , and some accidently. When asked about appropriate punishments for those who had caused harm, the younger children , unlikely the older ones, asigned punishments that did not vary according to whether the harm was done intentionally or accidentally . Younger childeren , then, do not regard people's intentions as relavant to punishment.

我感觉 题目中说的是年轻小孩 没辨别能力...

A 选项说 listeners 都有很轻的辨别能力..... 所以削弱

我认为,它的意思是因为younger children don't have a relatively mature sense  of human psychology in order to tell whether harm was produced intentionally or accidentally, 所以才assigned punishments that did not vary according to whether the harm was done intentionally or accidentally, 而不是因为do not regard people's intentions as relavant to punishment.这应该是一个他因削弱

我觉得是对原文的理解有问题：
译文：一群不同年龄的孩子听有关人们造成伤害的故事，（造成伤害的人当中）一些人是故意的，一些人是非故意的。当被问及对这些造成伤害的人所应给予的相应惩罚时，不象大一点的孩子那样，年龄小的小孩在作出惩罚时没有考虑到伤害是否是被故意造成的。因此，年龄小的小孩没有将人的故意性与惩罚联系起来。
A答案是说：年龄小的小孩由于其它原因而没得出人有故意性，而不是知道它的存在却不把它和惩罚联系起来。所以削弱。

看看两个大写的PEOPLE你就应该明白了.

这是个它因削弱。
文章说小孩不会根据人是否故意伤害来决定处罚的轻重，因此小孩不把故意和惩罚相联系。他的前提是小孩是能够分辨人是否故意。
A选项指出，必须依赖于（DRAW ON）人的成熟的心理意识，听者才能分辨故意与否。言外之意就是小孩是因为不具备这种意识所以不把故意和惩罚相联系
