1、are，现在时在此表示一种真实存在；have，表示一直以来。
2、为什么用进行时我不知道，只知道在此要用过去时，使事态一致；any difference between that gave ride to and giving ride to? 有。放到句子中所表达的含义不一样，另外，giving ride to有持续或已经发生的意思。
3、C若不用分号，句子就成了ETS所讲的run on 了；两件事，只要前后无因果或必然联系，可以用分号；意思没变。
