Yes.  Actually, I think in the real world, you have to put a comma before "and" if there are more than 2 things.  (But I found out that some anwser in OG showed it not necessary.  I was confused.)  As to 2 sentence, I think it works too.  
As to the second one, consider the time tense and pron., you can only choose "c", right?
