我申请的是新加坡ntu和nus的mba，申请材料里面都要求financial source.,材料说要bank statement or sponsor letter,如果以自己父母的名义写sponsor letter而只给他们 bank statement的复印件或不给bank statement可以吗？

I do not think that a good idea.

The financial statement would later be used for issuing visa.
It is much different from american style.
I think you must sent them the fs

I mean MORE accessible than ,say, 40k US dollars in 6 months.

One statement cost 20 rmb in bank of china. You should have requested sufficient papers with your 存折 at one time.

You'd better ask the bank whether they are allowed to make another one for you with the same paper.
