For a limited time, Educational Testing Service (ETS) is inviting GMAT
candidates like you to try out an Online Essay Scoring Service for FREE.
This innovative system will allow you to submit a response to an actual
GMAT Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) topic and receive a
computer-generated score in real time.

What's the catch?  In order to receive access to this service, we need
your help in a very important activity - the GMAT AWA Pretesting Program.
Pretesting allows the GMAT Program to field test future essay topics for
use in the AWA portion of the official test.  When you participate in the
Pretesting Program, you will be asked to submit responses to a pair of
essay topics at the GMAT AWA Pretesting Web site.  Because these items are
pretest items, we will be unable to provide scores for responses to these
topics.  Although scores cannot be provided for your responses to the
pretesting topics, please know you will be contributing important
information that will allow us to analyze and determine which topics are
appropriate for inclusion in the actual GMAT.  Your participation will
also provide additional opportunities to practice responding to the AWA
topics being pretested for the GMAT test.

What do you get for assisting us in the GMAT AWA Pretesting Program?  Once
you have submitted your responses to the pair of pretest topics, you are
eligible to access the GMAT Online Essay Scoring Service free of charge.
You will receive an email message containing the information needed to
access this service.  There you will be able to write a response to a
previously administered GMAT AWA topic and receive a score automatically.
